Demi Lovato has been rushed to the hospital after a drug overdose. The police confirmed they responded to a 911 call at Lovato’s apartment block in the Hollywood Hills.
The singer and actress was found unconscious by paramedics when they arrived at her home.
Demi has fought addiction and substance abuse for years and has been open about her battles and her stint in rehab. She had been clean of cocaine and alcohol for six years but admitted she relapsed recently.
A representative for the Los Angeles Fire Department added that they “transported a 25-year-old female patient to a local hospital.”
Fortunately, Demi is awake and with her family who wants to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers, and support. A Lovato’s rep later said in a statement that: “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
