Toner is an essential in any skincare routine. They help prep skin for moisturizers and serums. It can also help get rid of any excess dirt or make up that your cleanser may have missed.
For oily skin, you want a toner that will help decrease oil production while with dry skin you want something that will help lock in moisture.
Here are some simple recipes to make your perfect toner at home:
For oily skin:
Ingredients
Apple Cider Vinegar
Water
Lavender Essential oil
Steps:
Mix ½ part vinegar and ½ part tap water.
Add a few drops (5-10) of the lavender essential oil.
Store in a glass bottle and keep at room temperature.
For a sweet-smelling toner to balance out oils:
Ingredients
Rose Water
Witch Hazel (make sure there is no alcohol)
Lemon Juice
Steps
Combine ½ cup of rose water (this is easy to make boil some rose petals then drain the liquid left behind) with ½ cup of witch hazel and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
Stir to combine and transfer to a sealed container.
Use after cleanser and follow with moisturizer.

For Acne, prone skin:
1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Witch Hazel
Lavender Essential Oils (10 drops)
Steps:
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
Store in a small spray bottle and shake before each use.
