DJ Khaled is honoring the late Nipsey Hussle’s legacy with a new collaboration. Just a day before his album ‘Father of Asahd’ arrives, Khaled took to instagram to announce a forthcoming song featuring the late Nipsey Hussle called “Higher,” and 100% of proceeds from the track will go to Nipsey’s children.Khaled reflected on Nipsey’s passing and explained his decision to share the track less than two months after Nipsey was fatal shot in South Los Angeles.
‘Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years. It began when a tragedy robbed the world of an enlightened soul, a brother, a father, a partner and my friend, Nipsey Hussle.
Just days prior, he shared his energy and positivity with me on a video set for a song called “Higher.” After much prayer and reflection; and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that moment with the world.’
Nipsey Hussle was shot dead earlier this year. He was 33 years old.
