Thanks to the viral #dmxchallenge, DMX is getting renewed interest and the song “What These Bitches Want,” has seen a surge in sales and streams following the challenge.

The #DMXChallenge, which arrived last month on Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok, among other services, features people posting a rapid succession of pictures of themselves with different hairstyles and looks, all set to lines from the song in which DMX rattles off a list of women’s names.

X’s single has spiked in sales by 60% in the week ending on Aug. 29th after the challenge peaked in virality. 882,000 U.S. clicks were garnered in that same week which is up by 50% from the week prior. It also made its debut on the Digital Song Sales chart at number 40.

As the challenge spread, several celebrities took part in playing along, including Nicki Minaj, Halle Berry, and Leona Lewis.
