The accolades keep coming for Drake since the release of his new album Scorpion. The latest one is that he has been named by Apple as the first artist to have 10 billion streams on Apple Music.
According to an Instagram photo posted by Apple Music earlier this week, the rapper is the first artist ever to reach 10 billion streams on Apple.
“A new era,” the caption read. “10 billion streams on Apple Music. Congratulations, @champagnepapi. #drake.”
Drake is having an incredible few weeks. Since releasing Scorpion, the singles “Nice For What” and “In My Feelings” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the album itself debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, where it’s remained for past two weeks.
The 25-track project also broke the single-day streaming record on Spotify and Apple Music, as well as the one-week streaming record.
