Dua Lipa is reportedly first in line to record the next James Bond theme song, something that has become rather prestigious since the film series began in 1962.
The pop star’s fame skyrocketed in the past year since she dropped ‘New Rules‘ last July.
According to reports, Dua has been put ahead of Ed Sheeran and Jessie J on the list of potential names to record the theme for the 25th Bond film, which is scheduled to be released this November.
Sam Smith was the last person to record the theme when he wrote ‘Writing’s On The Wall‘ for 2015’s Spectre, and he won both an Oscar and Golden Globe for it.
If these rumours are true then Dua would also join Madonna, Adele, Tina Turner and Shirley Bassey, who have also written theme songs for the popular franchise.
