The English Football Association is set to prepare its bid to host the 2030 World Cup as part of its plans to host a major tournament in the country.
According to the FA chairman Greg Clarke, the board are still working to see if a bid is feasible before making their intentions known.
The last major tournament played in England was the 1996 European Championship and are already confirmed hosts for Euro 2020.
Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup while the 2026 World Cup will be jointly hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico.
