Now that Friday’s finally here, it’s time to celebrate. Those who are in love probably have some date already planned with your significant other. But if you’re single, Friday night can be a bit more of a misery. Try not to feel down about it! Being single can be incredible, so look at it as a few hours full of fun-having potential and as an opportunity to do something exciting on your own:
Go on a binge-watching session
It’s unbelievably satisfying to take in hours of some movies you have missed the first time around! Just make you that you reach out to your friends to share some of their favourite movies with you.
Go to a gallery opening
You can also go to a gallery launch or a book reading, or a poetry session. Look around different websites that offer information about cool cultural events near you, attend one, then pat yourself on the back for broadening your horizons. In fact, you could meet a potential lover.
Dive into a good book
If you are an avid reader, you should dive into a good book. A solo Friday night is the perfect time to get through a good chunk of a book you’ve been meaning to read, if not finish it entirely.
Have a drink at a bar
Going out on your own isn’t desperate. Anyone who thinks it is doesn’t realize the pleasure that comes with enjoying your own company. Sure, you could drink at home, but sometimes you just want to be around other people. You can just chat with the bartender, or combine this with the previous tip and take a book along with you. Expect various people to strike up a conversation.
Another way to let time pass by is to exercise. Exercising can make you fit like a fiddle. You do not need to go out of your room, you can begin and complete right in its comfort.
Go on a first date
If you have someone that has been crushing on you and has been asking you for a date, then take advantage of you solo Friday night and go on that. Something may spark!
