Everton has captured Jordan Pickford from Sunderland for a fee of £30 million in a five-year contract.
The club were reported to have had a previous bid rejected for Pickford, who attracted interest from Arsenal after a fine season despite Sunderland’s relegations.
Pickford signed for Sunderland at a young age and had spells on loan at Darlington, Alfreton Town, Burton Albion, Carlisle United, Bradford City and Preston North End before breaking into David Moyes’ side in 2016-17.
The 23-year old won the Sunderland supporters’ Young Player of the Year award.
