Over the weekend, I watched Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth. Of course, the online ‘noise’ forced me to download the action movie to watch. Don’t say it loud-I don’t have data to be watching Netflix!

From the online noise, praises were heaped on the grueling performance of the Thor and Marvel star.  Directed by Sam Hargrave, Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth), a fearless black market mercenary, embarks on the most deadly extraction of his career when he’s enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord.

Extraction

Shot in India and Bangladesh, the film fires us through a series of high artillery exchanges, betrayal, and combat. Chris Hemsworth invested everything to ensure that the son of a drug lord is ferried out from the dungeon of kidnappers.

However, with Randeep Hooda aka Saju sabotaging the job by attempting to ‘hijack’ the boy (Rudhraksh Jaiswal appears as Ovi Mahajan) from Tyler Rake, the stage was set for a clash between all parties involved.

Saju resulted to this action because his boss (Mahajan) who is in prison does not have enough money to make the 2nd payment tranch.

When Saju later came to his senses, he had no choice than to help Chris Hemsworth and Ovi escape after the Bangladeshi warlord shut down the country in order to get the boy back. What happened….no spoilers, go watch the movie.

The production was dope, the story was awesome, and casts were on point. Regardless, if you are looking for a John Wick kind of action movie that will keep you at the edge of your seat and make your heart vibrate,  Extraction is not that kind of movie.

It is an action movie replete with a medley of exciting gunfire and combat. At the same time reveals the sheer determination of Tyler not to abandon a young boy in trouble and the power that druglords or cartel have. So, if you looking for something exciting to watch, Extraction is highly recommended

If you have watched the movie, what is your verdict?
