A strike from Eden Hazard and a shot from Nemanja Matic gave Chelsea the victory after Harry Kane and Dele Alli equalised Willian’s 5th-minute goal from a free-kick and 43rd-minute penalty.
Spur is four points behind Chelsea with six games to play and both teams are playing in midweek games as Southampton go to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday and Spurs play Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s win against Manchester City was a welcome reprieve for Arsene Wenger. They defeated City 2 goals to 1 after extra time.
Wenger is under great pressure with his Arsenal contract due to expire in June. However, he now has the opportunity to win his 7th FA Cup.
