It’s been almost a year since Gucci Mane revealed his collaboration with Gucci as the face of the 2020 Gucci Cruise Campaign.
It’s not odd for celebrities to be tapped as brand ambassadors for Haute couture fashion houses,
The campaign also featured Iggy Pop and Sienna Miller partying at a luxury mansion but it was Gucci Mane who truly made headlines.
Rumours of a possible Gucci Mane x Gucci collab began surfacing when the “ICE” rapper sat front row during Gucci’s SS20 show at Milan Fashion Week last year.
A week later campaign pictures emerged showcasing Mr. Wop living his best life in a luxury Italian villa known as ‘La Furibonda’.
The first image in the campaign sees Gucci Mane lying on a massage bed as a butler stands in the corner ready to wait on him.
This image was also used as album cover artwork for his 2019 album WOPTOBER 2
Another image showcased sneak peaks of the collection including a floral tracksuit with Gucci’s red and green webbed trim.
The campaign was creative directed by Allesandro Michele himself and photographed by Harmony Korine, who directed Spring breakers.
