Heads are rolling in the fashion world and ELLE Germany is to be blamed.

Just when I was rejoicing that the Fashion world is finally on the same page with all the beautiful coloured girls ruling the modelling world.

You know the girls I speak of, the likes of

Anok Yai

Adut Akech

Mayowa Nicholas

Aliet Sarah

Janaye Furman

Only for me to wake up to Diet Prada (The Call-Out-Queen of the fashion world) exposing ELLE Germany for their foolery.

They pin pointed the aforementioned goddesses and reduced them to their skin colour with the article; “Back To Black” and tag line “Black is Back”

No sis, Black has always been AND will always be!

I’m holding on to my edges because ELLE  Germany just blindsided us with the mess and they didn’t stop there.

The height of the disrespect came when they chose to confuse model Naomi Chin Wig

who was not even added to the “Black Super Girl’ list in the first place, with Janaye Furman.

White people have been taking the piss and reducing colored people to  race, ethnicity and culture FOR THE LONGEST TIME. It’s boring and tiring at this point not to mention ignorant.

Elle Germany is letting us know they uphold white supremacy and I can only imagine Mr. Edward Enninful (the first colored Editor In Chief of ELLE & current E-I-C ELLE UK, shaking his head at this).

Elle Germany came back quickly to apologize but no one cares at this point.

NAME & SHAME

Big ups to those who’ve been naming and shaming especially Ms. Campbell who was brought up in a time where she black girls had to battle intensely for recognition and fair treatment.

“It’s very important for a publication to be culturally sensitive and give credit where it’s due. We all need to unite on this matter.”

Brown skin Girls, colored Girls, we need to stick together because the fight still continues…
