Feminists have criticised the lyrics to Kendrick Lamar’s new song, Humble.

Many women expressed disappointment and outrage over “Humble” on social media, noting that Kendrick was putting down a segment of females in an attempt to uplift others.

The popular lyrics say:

I’m so fucking sick and tired of the Photoshop/Show me something natural like afro on Richard Pryor/Show me something natural like ass with some stretch marks.

Some of the critics are fans of Kendrick’s work, yet they feel he comes up short when addressing topics related to women.

A follower of the artiste on social media said: “Y’all know I love Kendrick & Humble is ah-mazing. BUT that man is hella problematic when it comes to women. More specifically, Black Women.”

Social media, particularly Twitter, has been filled with arguments over Kendrick’s lyrics and intentions since “Humble” dropped.

Someone else says:

“You guys just can’t handle that people (namely women) don’t like Kendrick despite his benevolent, incense coated misogyny.”
