It doesn’t seem like much but getting the perfect jeans for your body type can go a long way. Imagine how frustrated you will be when you have dropped cash to the pair that you think are perfect only to get home and feel disappointed by your choice. It will make you feel that the seller slipped a different pair when you were not looking or you added a few pounds on your way home. But this is not necessarily the case. We want to help you minimize these irritating experiences in your jean life. Here are some tips.
If you have a tummy: You need to select jeans that are slightly high-waisted. It will be worn just below the belly button that way it will cover your stomach. When choosing the right size, make sure it is not too tight- that way you will not have a fold.
For an hourglass figure: You will need jeans that are cut higher in the back just to ensure you are covered when you sit (i.e avoid low-waist). Also, look for jeans where the seam of the waistband was cut and sewn again as opposed to one material. This way you will have the right fit for your waist and hip as opposed to bigger waistband that shows gaping when you use a belt. To flatter your hips, choose a pair that are less narrow in the ankle area, with roomier hips.
If you have a straight figure: This body type can go with almost anything. For the best flattering jeans, choose a pair that has a slimmer, tighter fit. Avoid curved waistband that can create unflattering spillage (muffin tops).
