The singer, Harrysong, mentioned that his exit from former record label, Five Star Music, was mainly a business decisions.
According to the ‘Reggae blues’ songster the record label will continue on its success. It just needs to bring new innovations.
The singer mentioned that while he was with Five Star Music, most of the songs released by the company were written by him.
Following his departure, he believes that their sound has to change.
“My exit from Five Star music will not crumble the record label. They have other artistes and it is a platform that has been built for years.
“I was there when we started the whole movement and now, I have started mine with my artistes. If any of them should go, my record label will not crumble.
“I know I wrote most of their songs but with my exit, their sound would change.
“I came with my own sound and since I am leaving with it, they would have to create something new for themselves.
“Every artiste has different sounds and it depends on what inspires you.”
Harrysong, who now manages his own record label, Alter Plate insisted that he left his former record label after his contract expired.
His departure from Five Star Music was purely a business decision according to the singer.
Before joining his most recent record label, Harrysong was signed to Question Mark, a record label that once signed the likes of Asa and Modenine.
