Everyone would have thought the road to Formula 1 victory for Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton this season will be a swift and smooth one since Nico Rosberg, the current world champion is no longer there to compete with him after he unexpectedly retired.
But this may not be the case as Ferrari wants to give Mercedes a run for their money.
To show the seriousness of Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel won the Australian Grand Prix which is his first since winning in Singapore in 2015.
Hamilton came second despite being on pole position. He was 10 seconds behind Vettel.
Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas, the Finnish driver who replaced Nico Rosberg at Mercedes came 3rd.
The next race is in China at the Shanghai International Circuit in April and it is a given that Hamilton will definitely be geared up for this one.
