The Nigerian Falconets recorded their first win at the U20 Women World cup holding in France after they defeated Haiti 1-0.
The young girls had earlier lost their first match 1-0 to the German U20 team but pressed on to get all three points in their second game.
The only goal of the game was scored by Rasheedat Ajibade in the 36th minute from the penalty spot as they held on for the win even though the Haitians had their chances to equalize.
Their next match will be against China on Monday and a draw will be just enough to progress into the quarter-finals as they are currently placed second in the group.
