Germany has beaten Turkey to host Euro 2024 after a vote by Uefa’s executive committee in Nyon, Switzerland.
This will be the first time that Germany will host the competition as a unified country since 1988 when it was hosted by West Germany.
Euro 2024, which will return to a single-host format, will feature 24 teams with 51 games scheduled for up to 32 days.
Berlin will stage the final, while matches will also take place in Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
Euro 2020 will be hosted across Europe with the final holding at Wembley stadium in London.
