Janet Jackson recently a released music video and to style her in jewelry, she employed the help of Ghanaian designer, Aphia Sakyi.
Her choice of fine jewelry was taken from Aphia Sakyi’s Summer Harmattan collection, titled ’50 Shades Of Print’ and this necklace, in particular, is called the ‘Yaa Asantewaa’ necklace.
The full collection of pieces for ’50 shades of Print’ is set to be released in September and outdoored on the runway for the first time at Accra Fashion Week this October.
The video was shot to pay homage to Janet’s late brother and music icon, Micheal Jackson’s video “remember the times”. It features Eddie Murphy playing king in an Egyptian setting and YouTube and Instagram sensations @KingBach and @BlameItOnKway auditioning for the queen (Janet Jackson) in an African cultured setting.
