Nigeria has won two medals so far at the Commonwealth games currently holding in Australia.
The Men’s table tennis team won a silver medal in the team event after they were defeated by India 3-0. They defeated England 3-2 enroute to the final.
The second medal came in the shot put event as Nigeria took silver through Chukwuebuka Enekwechi after he finished with a personal best of 21.

Seye Ogunlewe finished fourth in the final of the 100m sprint event which was one by South Africa’s Simbine. He finished with a personal season’s best time of 10.19 seconds, same as Jamaica’s Yohan Blake who took the bronze medal.
In the Basketball event, Nigeria’s D’Tigers will take on Scotland for a place in the semi-final. The D’Tigers lost all their group games to New Zealand, Canada and Australia respectively.
