We are yet to even watch season 7 of Game of Thrones, which will premiere on HBO in July 16, and the producers are already working on the season finale.
The Producers, David Benioff and Dan Weiss have announced that season eight of the hit show will be the shortest.
The final season will only have 6 episodes, which is fewer than any other series in the show’s run on HBO.
Benioff and Weiss said they are working on the final season right now and will work with writers, Dave Hill and Brian Cogman on the stories.
Seasons one through six all had 10 episodes. But, season seven will feature seven episodes.
Game of Thrones, which made its debut in 2012, is based on the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. It gives accounts of the escapades of different families who want control of the 7 kingdoms.
The show is one of the most expensive to be produced, due to computer-generated dragons and filming in remote locations in various parts of the globe.
