The 60th annual Grammy Awards show is done! But not before some epic moments were recorded – chill, we are talking about fashion.
The stars of the music world brought some of their most daring looks to the annual Grammy Awards held in New York on Sunday evening.
(Let us not forget this was the event that gave us Jennifer Lopez’s plunging green Versace dress in 2000, Kanye West’s lilac tuxedo and gloves in 2006, Lady Gaga’s giant egg in 2011 and Nicki Minaj and her papal date in 2012.)
This year, with nominees like Cardi B, SZA, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Uzi Vert up for awards, we expect nothing less than fun, fun, FUN.
Here are our top hits, including male and female acts and in no particular order:
Jaden smith: the Hollywood scion and multi-hyphenate entertainer makes his mark outside Madison square garden.
Tyler, the creator: the provocative young rapper shows off leopard-spot hair (hit or miss guys? we still love his swagged outlook.
Miley Cyrus: The former Disney star killed it in an all-black ensemble. The architectural shrug complemented the lines in the jumpsuit.
Common and Rita Ora: the tux- clad rapper/ actor and “anywhere” singer (in a Ralph & Russo gown) get their pose on.
Zayn Malik: Hands down, one of the most daring looks of the night for the men.
Rick Ross: the hip hop legend reigns supreme on the red carpet in a fur-trimmed overcoat and tux.
Asahd Khaled: the one-year-old’s burgeoning swag visible from his red velvet tuxedo—matched perfectly to his father’s own suit—to his crown of mussed brunette curls. Aside from an angelic face, a decidedly chill demeanour, and a photo-ready pout, Asahd made his mark with his glossy baby ringlets furthered by a fade at each side, another echo of his father’s trademark ‘do.
Dj Khaled: Only DJ Khaled could make an oxblood suit look this good.
Big Sean and Elton John: the rapper congratulates lifetime achievement recipient john (who later performed ‘tiny dancer’ with Miley Cyrus) outside the venue.
JAY-Z, Beyonce and Blue Ivy: The gifted family brought it on to the awards ceremony, not leaving little Blue Ivy out of it in her all white and silver ensemble.
Alessia Cara: At the Grammys, comfort is always on-trend.
Ashanti: the ‘foolish’ singer goes for a golden look on the red carpet. The high neck, the long sleeves, the flared skirt and sequins galore! Ashanti has got Grammys red carpet fashion down.
John legend and Chrissy Teigen: the Jesus Christ superstar live actor-singer and his pregnant supermodel wife (in Yanina couture) keep the energy up.
Lana Del Rey: the nominated artist wears custom Gucci and an elaborate head piece which we love and think it’s to die for.
Camila Cabello : the ‘Havana’ singer and fifth harmony alum accessorizes her plunging, strapless red gown with a white “times up” rose and a disco ball purse ( which we think she could do away with)
Lady Gaga: although her outfit is a shows stopper, we are not making her our best dressed female on the carpet. The ‘million reasons’ singer and 2018 nominee and performer) makes a very dramatic entrance in a statement piece Armani.
Least but not the last, ironically our first but you know the saying ‘you save the best for last’. The nominated “Bodak Yellow “ rapper and rolling stone cover, Cardi B wore a white Ashi studio gown and Louboutin shoes for her very first Grammys.
Hailee Steinfeld: Can we talk about those purple knee-high boots for a sec? Love or hate them? Tell us in the comments!
There you have it guys that’s our list …so yeah what do you guys think about this fashion sense? Comment we would like to know your thoughts.
