99 problems but hair loss shouldn’t be one, healthy and beautiful hair is one the many beauty necessities  for both men and women. We’ve put together a few amazing tips on how to prevent hair loss.

1.  You should give your diet an upgrade, the Mediterranean diet is a great choice because it contains mostly raw vegetables and fresh herbs. This diet helps to reduce or slow down the onset of androgenic alopecia ( female or male pattern baldness ). Eat foods like parsley, basil and salad greens more than 3 days a week for best results.

2. Washing your hair regularly prevents hair loss, a healthy and clean scalp is a great way to improve hair growth. The key is to use a mild shampoo as harsher ones leave the hair dry and cause it to break.

3. Research shows that coconut oil helps prevent hair damage from grooming and ultraviolet (UV) light exposure. The Lauric acidfound in coconut oil helps bind protein in the hair, protecting it from breakage at the root and strand. Constant massaging of the scalp with coconut oil promotes blood flow and helps with regrowth.

 

4. Dry scalp leads to breakage and hair loss, a great way to combat dry scalp is by deep conditioning your hair with olive oil, apply a good amount of olive oil to your hair and let it sit for 30 minutes before washing it off.

5. Opt for protective styling. As much as you can avoid tight braids or ponytails that pull your hair at the roots, also let your hair air dry to avoid irritating your scalp.

6. If your hair isn’t natural and you perm or color your hair, ask your stylist about safer alternatives, like organic hair dyes and products that don’t contain ammonia, peroxide or para-phenylenediamine  ( PPD ).
