Olympic hammer champion, Dilshod Nazarov has been given a temporary suspension after failing a doping test.
This was revealed by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) who confirmed that a sample from the 2011 World Athletics Championships in Daegu where he placed 10th, tested positive for the steroid turinabol.
The 37-year-old won Tajikistan’s only gold medal at Rio 2016. He has also won a silver medal which he got in Beijing 2015.
He will miss the Doha World Athletics Championship which starts on Friday.
