Chelsea are set to offer two of their players Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois improved contracts. Hazard and Courtois’ contract renewal has been a critical talking point in the last few months.
The Blues board are ready to reward the Belgian attacker who is already their highest paid player with a salary of £200,000, with a bumper salary if he signs an extension to his current deal. The increase will see him earn a whooping £300,000 a week.
Courtois, meanwhile, is currently on £120,000-per-week but wants an increase to his earnings in the region of £200,000-per-week, in keeping with his status as one of the world’s best in his position. His deal expires in 2019 but Hazard’s has an extra year on it and runs until 2020.
The duo who are both currently away with the Belgium national team, are wanted by Spanish giants Real Madrid.
