HBO, the producers Game of Thrones (GOT) are planning to increase the budget for its eighth season which is expected to return in 2018 or 2019.
According to reports, the upcoming season finale of the blockbuster TV show is said to cost over $15 million per episode; the largest per-episode budget that has ever been injected into a TV show, as $10 million per episode has been the highest in recent years for expensive TV shows.
Also, the 8th season of “Game of Thrones” which is reported to all be feature-length will only have six episodes.
The longest episode of the series so far remains the season seven finale, which clocked in at 80 minutes.
Miguel Sapochnik, who directed “The Battle of the Bastards “and “Hardhome” has also been revealed to return for the final season.
