Onyekuru suffered the injury in a league game on the 22nd of December, 2017 and sent back to his parent club Everton in England for rehabilitation.

Onyekuru posted a picture of him training with the squad on his Twitter account and expressed his happiness about his return to full training.

“First day back in full training with my teammates. Back to finish what I started. #GodsPlan,” he tweeted.

The Everton loanee scored nine goals in 19 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League for Anderlecht this season prior to his injury.

This development will come as a sigh of relief to Coach Gernot Rohr who is in dire need of options in the Super Eagles attack before the resumption of the World Cup.
