Getting healthy hair isn’t as complicated as people make it seem. As always, we have what you need to help you get the hair you desire. Have these in mind and you are good to go:
Stay Cool: A cool rinse in the shower and a cool shot of your blow-dryer can help to close the cuticle (the outer layer of the hair) to help protect it from the elements! It’s a minor thing that can make a big difference in the health of your hair.
Go Natural: Embrace your natural hair texture, stop using heat. Whether or not your hair is relaxed, you have natural hair texture. Be happy with it. Minimise the heat you use on your hair because it can be damaging.
Don’t Forget to Trim: Many people are scared to lose length, so when the hairstylist suggests a trim, it is almost always received with abject negation. One thing to know is that if you don’t get a trim, you are prone to split ends that make your hair unhealthy. You can have length, but the key is for the hair to be healthy. Getting a trim every 10 to 12 weeks will keep the dead ends off.
Protect Against Heat: Heat protect, heat protect, heat protect and when you’re done, heat protect. Sometimes you may be in a hurry to get your hair dry, but at what cost. Remember that the settings on your hair equipment are there for a reason, feel free to use them. Know your hair type and how much heat is needed to create the look is important.
Find the Right Shampoo and Conditioner: For healthy hair, you have to find the right products for your hair type and texture. If you don’t use the right products, you will not get the gorgeous and healthy hair that you want. Do adequate research and ask experts so as to make the right choice from the start, it’s not too late to begin your healthy hair journey.
Take a Vitamin: There are hair vitamins that can really help over time. this is not meant for everyone. Different Vitamins have different effects. It could work better for another person. Don’t be discouraged. There are a diverse number of Vitamins available or continue your normal hair regime without the pills.
Skip a Wash or Two: Don’t be afraid to skip a day or two of washing. Excess washing will cause friction that will make the hair weak and cause breakage.
With these few tips in mind, you will get the hair you so want and deserve. Gorgeous, healthy hair is at your reach sooner than you think.
