Pores? Oh Pores…
Yeah… those tiny holes on your face staring at you every time you hold a mirror like “we here for life girl”. Pretty annoying yeah? And even when you clear off pimples and acne, those guys never seem to go away. Especially if you’ve got oily skin. Excess sebum, dirt and bacteria tends to clog these skin pores.
Well…firstly you must know they’re actually normal as they allow your facial skin “breathe” hence they should not, cannot be eradicated completely. Yet you could minimize their size and naturally too. So instead of shopping for bank breaking beauty products, you can try some inexpensive, easy and natural home remedies to minimize the appearance of your pores.
Ice: Ice or ice cold water serves as a simple home remedy to shrink large pores due to its skin-tightening effects. It’s something you can use just before apply your makeup. Wrap a few ice cubes in a washcloth and hold to your face for a few minutes or bath your face with ice cold water. Do this several times a day till you achieve desired result.
Egg Whites: Egg whites is one tested and effective way to shrink enlarged facial pores because they tone and tighten the skin. Egg white masks are also great for drawing excess oil out of greasy skin. Simply whisk egg white (extract the yolk first) and spread it evenly on your face. Let it dry completely and then rinse off with cool water. Alternatively, you can add half a lemon juice to two beaten egg whites, apply and allow to dry for 10 mins. Repeat a few times in a week for one month for best results.
Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple cider vinegar is known to cleanse the skin and shrink pores. It acts as toner and tightens your skin and is also reduces skin inflammations. Dilute a spoon of apple cider vinegar in water. Dip a cotton ball inside the mixture and apply on the face. Let it air dry and rinse after 10mins. Use apple cider as skin toner every day
Cucumber: Cucumber mask helps in treating pores and improves the texture of your skin making it soft and supple. It also slows the aging process, giving you an ever radiant appearance. Slice two cucumbers and blend alongside lemon juice. Apply blended mixture on your face and leave on for 15 mins. Rinse with cool water. Cold cucumber works best for this method so you could pop them into the freezer a few minutes before you blend. Apply this pack at least twice a week for desired result.
So try any of these consistently and let’s hear about your improvements…
