Our Hottie of the Week is none but ‘West Africa’s Best Female Artist’ Aramide. The 31 year old artiste recently picked up an AFRIMA award for the category of ‘Best Female Artist in West Africa’.
Born Aramide Sarumoh, She is a singer and song writer who hails from Ibadan. Her singles ‘FunMiLowo’ ‘Love Me’ and ‘I don’t Care’ have topped charts all around the country.
Aramide rose to fame after the release of her single ‘Iwo Nikan’ in 2014, the same single won her a Headies award that year. Aramide’s musical journey started in 2006 when she participated in ‘Star Quest’ music contest. Her band didn’t end up winning the ‘Star Quest’ competition but that didn’t stop Aramide on her path to success.
The ‘Love Me’ crooner notes Erykah Badu, Miriam Makeba, Sade, and Angélique Kidjo as her influence’s. Since rising to Fame she has performed at lot’s of events and shows both locally and internationally. Also, sorry to burst your bubble guys- Aramide is married and has been happily so since last year.
