What’s currently going on in La Liga could never have been predicted, even by the best analysts and every octopus predictor.
Real Sociedad are currently top of the league, after nine games while Atletico Madrid could replace them with their games in hand; meanwhile Real Madrid are fourth after a shock 4-1 defeat at Valencia on Sunday and Barcelona are eighth after three wins, two draws and two defeats (with Messi starting from the bench in their last game).
Just like the Premier League, La Liga appears to have some shocker in store for us. Could Barcelona and Real Madrid’s dominance come to an end? Or is this just one of those early season mistakes?
Madrid and Barcelona have games in hand, but what’s shocking is that regardless of the outcome of their games in hand, they wouldn’t still top Sociedad. And then there’s Atletico Madrid, who appear to be reborn, with the signing of Luis Suarez, and Joao Felix looking like he has found his dancing boots. Simeone’s side has gone 23 games league games unbeaten, with their only recent loss coming from the inevitable trashing team, Bayern Munich.
Nobody knows what’s gonna happen after the break, but Real Madrid would be happy that Atletico and Barcelona would face off immediately after the break, meaning someone is definitely going to drop points. But they would also be facing their own battle, against second placed Villarreal. And just had Valencia and Cadiz have shown this season, Real Madrid aren’t as formidable as last season, at least not yet.
