What to Wear En Route

When flying, dressing is all about comfort for me, so I go for a loose-fitting tee and a long, flowing skirt most often, with a spritz of a yummy Le Labo fragrance to keep me feeling fresh. Comfortable shoes are also key when trekking through an airport, so I usually go for a pair of PRISM espadrilles in a fun color like pale pink. Finally, one simple piece of jewelry is all I ever wear to travel—nothing should feel overdone.

I also bring a carry-on with an outfit or two in case the airline loses my luggage. I always pack PRISM sandals, sunglasses, and a bikini, as well as one of our new Luxe Basics coverups (it all fits in my PRISM beach bag). Finally, I never travel without Bioderma moisturizer—it’s a life saver for dry skin during and after the flight. Other than that, all I really bring is some cleanser, sun block, and this amazing Hawaiian Oil product I just discovered.

How to Pack It In

I use all of my trips as “research and development” excursions. You can’t really imagine what you want to wear on a holiday until you’re actually there, so I test everything out while I’m living it.

Whether at home or traveling, I’m all about staying minimalistic and unfussy. Still, my style on vacation is generally a bit more relaxed than it is every day. I usually break my travel wardrobe out into three different categories: what I wear to the beach, to explore the town, and at night.

A Day at the Beach

On holiday I think it’s all about being easy and feeling beautiful. I admit I overpack a little bit—I can bring as many as 30 swimsuits with me if I’m gone for a week or two (you can never have too many!). At the moment, I love the simple Hossegor bandeau in caramel leopard paired with the black leopard Punta bottoms from the PRISM line. I also love the Samar one piece in grey marl, and my Negril fringe shirtdress in white is my go-to beach cover up. On my feet, I usually just reach for a pair of sandals. As much as I love being barefoot, sometimes you need a sandal to walk to the beach or on hot sand.
