English Premier league side Huddersfield Town has joined the race to sign German-born Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun who is likely to be a free agent at the end of the season.
According to the Sun UK, the English side have held initial talks with the central defender over a move.
Huddersfield already have a German coach in the person of David Wagner and will hope to use this as a turning point to land Balogun who possesses a German passport.
Balogun’s contract with Mainz ends in the summer.
