Britney Spears will be performing live in Tel Aviv, Israel on July 3, 2017, but the date coincides with same date the country will be having their elections.
The Israeli Labor Party was planning on holding their primary election on that day, but ended up postponing it for security and traffic reasons.
According to CNN quoting Labor Party spokesman, Liron Zach:
“We delayed the vote one day, to July 4. We couldn’t hire enough security for the election because of the Britney Spears concert on July 3. There would also be a lot of traffic and roadblocks that would make it hard for the vote to go ahead.
“We aren’t concerned about voters favoring Spears over the party. The two main concerns are security and traffic.”
Ever since 2011, the 35-year-old singer, has not gone on a world tour, but she is now set on her Asia tour that includes performances in Japan and the Philippines.
This is will also be her first time performing in Israel.
