Reports confirm that at about 10:05am on Monday, two Federal High court judges namely; Mohammed Yunusa, Hyeladzira Nganjiwa reported to the Lagos office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This was in acknowledgment of an invitation sent to them by the Commission in respect of an alleged bribery and money laundering case which is on-going.
The said offenses involve two senior lawyers who had already been arraigned in court by the EFCC.
However, further Investigations by EFCC has revealed that the two senior lawyers, Ricky Tarfa and Joseph Nwobike who are standing trial for offences of bribery and offering gratification to public officers to refrain them from carrying out their duties judicially and judiciously, had in the times past, given monetary gifts to the two judges as well.
The judges are being interrogated by the EFCC.
