Everyone has always imagined what being in space would be like, and there have been tons of movies depicting pictures and fuelling our imaginations.
Since Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin travelled out of space in 1961, there have been stories of alien worlds, and life on other planets, which might or might not be true. The only way to confirm is by seeing for yourself.

Over the years, visual technologies have improved. Movies like ‘Star Trek’, ‘Star Wars’, ‘AD Astra’ have given us images of what it’s like to be in space. If you’re a fan of any of the above movies, then you should check out the movies below, which are available to rent or stream on your favourite streaming platforms.

‘Solaris’ features George Clooney, who stars as a grieving psychologist sent to investigate a faraway space station, in which the crew members all refuse to come home. Getting there, he finds the space station filled with the dead loved ones they left behind. ‘Solaris’ goes beyond the reasonable human imagination, stretching the figurative depiction of the outer space, to the fullest.

The Martian

Ever imagined how it would be to be stuck in space alone? Then ‘The Martian’ is for you. After he’s presumed dead and left behind by his fellow astronauts, Mark Watney, who is played by Matt Damon, has to survive alone on a planet, with nothing but his wits and limited supply.

Alien follows the crew of a commercial space ship, who encounter Alien, a deadly creature, which begins to kill them off, one by one. It’s up Ellen Ripley to kill Alien. Filled with suspense and thrills, ‘Alien’ will keep you at the edge of your seat, asking for more.

‘Interstellar’ is a movie about a group of astronauts tasked with saving humanity on a dying Earth by searching for a new home. Trying to travel to the stars, and back in time to save the species, two of the characters struggle to solve the mathematical problems of the survival of the humans back on earth. The visuals are insane and the suspense is unending. Portraying the picture of technology being our saviour, ‘Interstellar’ is a very unique movie.

Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets

Set in a future where aliens and humans have merged together and cohabitate in one large colony, a dark force called Alpha threatens the colony. Special operatives Valerian and Laureline, now race against time to try and save the colony. With graphics and technology beyond your imagination, ‘Valerian and the city of a Thousand Planets’ is different from the regular alien and human movies, moving through multiple worlds, filled with lots of fun and action, with a little touch of romance. It’s definitely a must see movie.
