J Cole’s ‘Middle Child’ has been generating a lot of buzz since it’s release earlier in day. Not only did he declare himself ‘the greatest’, a lot of fans and critics alike thinks there’s major subliminal disses for Kanye West and rightfully so.

‘If I smoke a rapper, it’s gon’ be legit

It won’t be for clout, it won’t be for fame

It won’t be ‘cause my shit ain’t sellin’ the same

It won’t be to sell you my latest lil’ sneakers

It won’t be ‘cause some nigga slid in my lane’

Although Kanye’s name is not directly mentioned, many fans suspect Cole was taking shots at him and this may be the the reason. In December 2018, Kanye shared a series of tweets revealing that Drake was seeking clearance for the Kanye-produced song “Say What’s Real.” Kanye also claimed that Drake was “sneak dissing” him on Travis Scott’s “SICKO MODE”

Is Cole suggesting Kanye’s always tweeting for clout and just publicity stunts? or Kanye just wants to create hype around his music projects and Yeezy sneakers? A lot of people seem to think so, what do you think.
