Rap Icon, Birdman has said Nicki Minaj is the best female ever in the hip-hop game.

The Cash Money label boss showered the encomium on the female rapper when granting an interview with Rap-Up magazine recently.

“I always say she’s the best ever, best female ever in hip-hop, hands down – facts. There’s no getting around it,” he said. “There’s levels to this s**t. Very much levels to this s**t. She’s an elite.

“Sometimes, you can put Nicki in a room with males on a rap, but if you put her on females, it’s nothing. She’s a monster in her own race. She’s just a special talent. I’m blessed to have her a part of my team. She’s a special talent I’ve never heard before,” he said.

Minaj’s first and second studio albums, Pink Friday 2010 and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in 2012, both peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and produced the successful singles “Super Bass” and “Starships“, the latter of which became one of the best-selling singles of all time.

In 2010, Minaj became the first female solo artist to have seven singles simultaneously charting on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Her third studio album, The Pinkprint in 2014, was preceded by its second single, “Anaconda“, which peaked at number two on the Hot 100 and is her highest-charting single in the U.S. to date.

Throughout her career, Minaj has received ten Grammy Award nominations, in addition to winning six American Music Awards, eleven BET Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and the 2011 Billboard Women in Music Rising Star Award.

No doubt, the Trinidadian-born American rapper and singer has attained some heights most female artists hasn’t, but is she the best ever in the hip-hop history even with likes of Missy Elliot, Lauryn Hill, Lil Kim and the rest who were torchbearers for females in the industry?

What do you think? Is she the best rapper ever? Let us hear from you in the comment section.
