It’s official! Nicki Minaj is married. The rapper has long referred to Petty as her “husband,” but made the official announcement on Monday night.
Nicki announced her marriage to Kenneth Petty on Instagram late Monday night following nearly a year of dating. She shared her martial bliss with a video of matching “Mr. and Mrs.” mugs and coordinating “Bride” and “Groom” baseball caps.
“10•21•19,” the rapper captioned the footage, appearing to refer to the lovebirds’ official wedding date
On the Aug. 12 episode of her Queen Radio show, Minaj revealed that she had filed for a marriage license and would be married in “about 80 days.”
“We still had to pick it up and I was traveling, by the time I came back, we had to renew it again,” she explained. “From that time, you have 90 days to get married. That was about a week ago, so now I have about 80 days.”
