Few weeks back, there were rumours that the Kukere crooner was having some issues with his manager Ubi Franklin and now it looks like both are finally done.
We recently gathered that Iyanya officially fired his manager yesterday who also, is his business partner. The reason for this new development as we hear is that Iyanya is now launching a new label and album. News reaching us also confirms that he had signed a deal with Temple Management Company which is an emerging management company that signed on the entire Mavin crew records, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Funmi Iyanda and more big names just recently.
What company is this? They must be doing something VERY right, see portfolio!
Iyanya disclosed that he and his former manager Ubi have been discussing this big move in his career so this was inevitable eventually. The singer released a statement on Instagram:
‘Dear fans, I am pleased to announce that I have now signed on with Temple Management Company. About a year ago, Ubi and I discussed options to diversify our business interests and creative visions and we both agreed that we would explore all avenues open to us. So much has happened since and I have now completed work on my new album which will be released under a new record label. With both @thetemplecompany and the new album, I am now embarking in a direction which will not only bring you the same quality, verve and energy that you have become accustomed to, it will take things to the next level. Ubi remains my brother and we both look forward to this new phase of our careers. God bless you all.’
Ubi who tried to displace any rumours of growing feud between himself and the singer, reposted the Instagram statement above with:
‘Congratulations my brother forever’
Let’s hope he isn’t heartbroken (sometimes, it’s just hard when you lose talents like Iyanya).
