J Cole is back! Well, it’s not like he ever left, but he’s back with a new freestyle called Album Of The Year. Album Of The Year is J Cole’s first song as a lead artist since the release of his 5th studio album K.O.D, Cole’s braggadocious new freestyle is over Nas’ 2001 song Oochie Wally. J Cole is at his lyrical best and he claims he’s got ‘Album of the Year’.Album of the year j coleCole spits lyrics like ‘KOD, album of the year, undebatably, my cadence be the greatest we’ve seen since the late MC who’s name was The Notorious’ alluding to the fact that he’s the best rapper since the Notorious BIG. He also announces Dreamville’s upcoming release schedule, with Bas and J.I.D dropping next. He says ‘Dreamville stacked like the Warriors, winning back to back, next up to bat is my nigga Bas, after that Jiddy-J.I.D.

In the video’s description, Cole also revealed that he’s working on a new mixtape called The Off Season, which will serve as a prelude to his long awaited album The Fall Off.
