Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter, Willow Smith and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris are the latest black women to be celebrated in the black history month.
The three women of Jada’s Red Talk talk show are the cover stars of Essence magazine’s March issue, where they discuss their motivation behind the biggest show on YouTube today.
“Viewers can feel that the Smiths have no agenda other than offering reflective conversation; it makes viewers want to pull up their own chair and oftentimes pause the Facebook video to think about what they’ve just watched,” Essence writes in this edition titled ‘Talk Is Chic’.
“Everybody has a place at the table because there’s not just one perspective,” Pinkett Smith says in the magazine. “That’s what makes the show awesome to me.”
The magazine officially drops on February 22.
