It appears that Jay Z and Beyonce have closed the door on their infamous 2014 elevator spat.
On Monday evening, the couple was all smiles as they were spotted leaving the Angelika Film Center in New York City after the mother of three rented out a theatre for a private showing of “Wonder Wheel” to celebrate her husband’s 48th birthday.
“Hurry up, come get it,” JAY-Z was heard telling photo hungry paparazzi from inside the elevator to snap pictures of he and his wife, who posed in a Versace dress and Krewe sunglasses while smiling for the cameras, as seen in a video shared by TMZ.
In 2014, JAY-Z and Beyoncé encountered public scrutiny after Solange attacked the 4:44 rapper during their elevator ride.
The trio were leaving a Met Gala after party when things quickly went haywire. After the footage surfaced, statements were made from the parties involved regarding the incident, downplaying the entire altercation.
In an interview with Rap Radar last September, the Brooklyn lyricist debunked claims of a potentially strained relationship between he and his sister-in-law.
“She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period… We’ve always had a great relationship,” he said.
