Jay-Z has filed to trademark the main character, “Jaybo” from his music video, ‘The Story of O.J’.

The famous rapper  turned heads when he dropped the music video for the leading single off his highly talked about 13th studio album, 4:44.

Now the music mogul is making moves to trademark the music video’s leading character “Jaybo.”

According to documents obtained by the Dailynews, the trademark of “Jaybo” will allow Jay-Z’s company, S. Carter Enterprises to use the animated character for a wide range of merchandise, including t-shirts, hats, bags and more.

The trademark request will also give Jay-Z the rights to use the character in films and television series.
