Germany international Lukas Podolski has gotten his own Twitter emoji to celebrate his move to the J-League after joining Vissel Kobe.

This feat follows Paul Pogba’s who became the first Premier League footballer to have his own emoji.

And to mark his arrival in Asia, the social media platform will allow fans to mark his arrival with a bespoke emoji by using the hashtag #Poldi.

The 32-year-old retired from International duty with Germany after a friendly match played in his honour against England in which he scored the only goal of the match in May.
