Kanye West is being sued by a tech company called MyChannel Inc (MYC) for allegedly failing to make a $10 million investment he promised them and allegedly stealing their technology to drive sales of his Sunday Service merchandise.
MyChannel, Inc. claims it linked up with Kanye in Spring 2018 to help Ye maximize revenues for his Yeezy merchandise. The company says that Kanye got the company to work long hours for him for 6 months based on the promise to invest tens of millions of dollars in the company. According to the suit, MYC even moved its headquarters twice all to please Kanye and make the partnership work.
The company alleges that West walked away after 6 months of work without paying while stealing some of its technology to use on his Sunday Service performances.
MYC alleges that Kanye’s promises of a partnership were just an effort to fuel his Yeezy brand and steal confidential tech to make millions on Sunday Service and now they’re seeking more than $20 million in damages.By: Dammy Eneli
