French referee Tony Chapron who aimed a kick at a Nantes player and then sent him off, has been banned for six months by the French league disciplinary committee, of which half of the ban will be a suspension while Carlos’ booking was also rescinded at Chapron’s request.
Tony Chapron fell to the ground when his heels were clipped accidently by Nantes’ Diego Carlos during their league match against PSG last month. But then the 45-year old reacted badly and kicked out at the player before booking him for a second time.
Chapron has been a referee in France’s top flight since 2004 and has taken charge of over 400 matches since that tme.
