Two years after the release of her third album, Witness, Katy Perry returns with her new single, “Never Really Over.” It’s Perry’s second collaboration with Zedd this year, following the release of “365” earlier this year.Of the new track, Katy Perry said in a press release:
I worked on this song when I was on tour, and I don’t really do that. It’s produced by Zedd and I brought him the song and said wow it sounds amazing. Specifically the lyrics in the second verse which I love is—I guess I should try to go to therapy to try to get you out of my brain, I can’t even go on the internet, without even checking your name.
The Zedd-produced song is expected to land on Perry’s sixth studio album.
