Keanu Reeves may have joined one of the biggest action franchises in the world, as he reportedly has a role in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
According to a new report from That Hashtag Show, another threat may be hiding behind the shadows of Hobbs & Shaw and is reportedly going to be played by Keanu Reeves. Full details on Reeves’ role in Hobbs & Shaw have not been revealed.
This means Reeves is not expected to have that much screen time in the film, instead of being a late introduction (possibly even in a post-credits scene), so fans shouldn’t expect to see Reeves actually go toe-to-toe with Johnson and Statham just yet.
Universal’s franchise originally started out with street racing (Fast and Furious), but it has evolved to become something much bigger.
This has partially been the result of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joining the franchise in Fast Five as Luke Hobbs, and the response to him has led to larger roles in every subsequent appearance.
After making four appearances in the main franchise, though, Johnson is now getting the star treatment with Hobbs & Shaw. It is the first spinoff film to arrive in the franchise and will pair Johnson up with Jason Statham’s villain-turned-ally Deckard Shaw.
